Cinnamon Chocolate Chip Scones

  • 3 ½ c flour
  • ¼ c sugar
  • 3 T baking powder (Yes, Tablespoons)
  • ¼ tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 ½ c Ghirardelli milk chocolate chips
  • 1 ¼ c milk
  • ½ c butter
  1. Preheat oven to 375
  2. Mix dry ingredients together.  
  3. Cut in butter to form a coarse mixture.  
  4. Mix in chocolate chips.  
  5. Stir in 1 ¼ c milk and mix to moisten dry ingredients.
  6. Turn out onto a floured surface and knead ten times.  
  7. Roll out to 1 inch thick and cut with a round cutter.  
  8. Bake for 15 minutes on an ungreased baking sheet.  
  9. Makes 30 small scones.  
  10. Serve with butter, honey, jam and whipped cream.
