• 1 egg
  • ¼ tsp. salt
  • 1 c brown sugar
  • ¼ tsp. baking soda
  • ½ c sifted flour
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 c chopped walnuts
  1. Stir together egg, brown sugar and vanilla.  
  2. Add sifted flour, salt, soda and walnuts.  Mix well.  
  3. Bake for 18-20 minutes in a well-greased 8 inch pan at 350 degrees.  
  4. Will be soft when taken out.  
  5. Cool; dust with powdered sugar.  
  6. Cut into bars.
