- 2 c flour
- 4 T cocoa
- 2 c sugar
- ½ c buttermilk
- ½ c oil
- 2 beaten eggs
- 1 c water
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 cube margarine
- 1 tsp. soda
- Put flour & sugar into a large bowl and set aside.
- Bring to a boil oil, water, margarine and cocoa.
- Remove from heat and add to the flour mixture. Mix well.
- Mix buttermilk, eggs, vanilla and soda; add to other mixture and mix well.
- Bake in a 11×17 ¾ inch pan at 400 for 8-10 minutes.
Frost immediately with Chocolate Frosting:
- 1 cube melted butter
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 6 T milk
- 4 T cocoa
- 1 box powdered sugar
- nuts (optional)
- Add all ingredients to warm melted butter and stir until smooth.
