• 1 pkg (8oz) cream cheese
  • ½ lb butter
  • 3 T confectioners’ sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 4 1/3 c flour
  1. All ingredients should be at room temperature.  
  2. Blend together cheese and butter.  Add confectioners’ sugar; blend well.  Stir in egg and egg yolk.  Add flour and mix until just blended.
  3. Shape dough into a ball and wrap in wax paper.  Refrigerate overnight or for several hours.
  4. Roll dough on a lightly floured pastry cloth to 1/4” thickness.  Cut into 2” squares.  
  5. Place a small spoonful of commercial prune or apricot filling in the center of each square.  Fold each cookie to the center allowing a bit of the filling to show. 
  6. Bake 350 on an ungreased cookie sheet for 20-25 minutes.
