Grandma’s Chicken Soup
- 1 whole chicken, cleaned
- 1 large onion
- 3 large carrots, cut in 1 inch pieces
- 2 bay leaves
- 2 stalks celery, chopped
- Granny’s frozen egg noodles
- Chicken bouillon, cubes or granules
- salt and pepper to taste
- Put chicken in a large stock pot and cover with water, add onion, bay leaves, celery, salt and pepper and simmer until chicken is done.
- Remove chicken and let it cool slightly. Remove bay leaves. Add enough bouillon to stock to achieve desired taste. Add carrots and noodles and simmer until done.
- Debone and cut chicken into bite sized pieces and return to pot. Serve with homemade biscuits.
