Granny’s Sugar Cookies

Cream together: 

  • ½ c butter
  • 1 c sugar

Blend in:

  • 1 large egg
  • ½ tsp. vanilla

Sift together & add to mixture:

  • ½ tsp. salt
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 2 c flour

Shape into a large disc and refrigerate at least 30 minutes

Roll dough to ¼ inch thickness 

Cut cookies and bake at 400 for 8-10 minutes.  

Cool, frost & decorate.
