- 3 c flour
- ¾ c sugar
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1 egg
- ½ tsp. salt
- 2 T milk
- 1 c softened butter
- 1 ½ tsp. vanilla extract
- Sift together flour, baking powder and salt; set aside.
- Cream butter and gradually add sugar, stir in egg, milk and vanilla; blend in dry ingredients.
- Divide dough into thirds and roll out each portion on a lightly floured surface; cut with cookie cutters.
- Place cookies on an ungreased baking sheet and bake at 400 for 5-8 minutes or until golden.
- Makes 4 dozen.
